Jeans and a T-Shirt

You can never make enough outfits out of a plain white t-shirt and dark wash jeans. The limit does not exist! This outfit is a great option for back to school. The sweater looks pretty heavy, but in reality, the knit leaves a lot of room to breathe and makes for a great summer and fall piece. When it comes to jeans, I've tried them all. Seven for all Mankind, Banana Republic, Lucky Brand, no brand has EVER come close to fitting me (and my height) as well as American Eagle Jeans have. They last forever and are extremely affordable. In case you couldn't tell by now, I have a thing for trees, and this one in my driveway is my new favorite piece of eye candy. Keep a lookout for my next post, which will feature some back to college essentials, including this t-shirt! Anyways, stay happy guys and embrace the rest of summer while it lasts.

Rips, Stripes, and Sunflowers

Stripes are pretty classic for the most part. There's nothing wrong with edging them up every once in a while. I paired this wide striped top with my ripped shorts and leather booties. To make up for the lack of color in my outfit, I chose a red lip. The onyx ring I'm wearing was another vintage find, one that I got from my grandmother. The setting for this post is one that many of my southern friends are no stranger to; sunflower fields are popping up all over the place right now, and I couldn't resist traipsing through this one near my house. To explain the last photo, my grandparents compared my outfit to that of a corner-worker, and my pappaw loved messing with me by creating this lovely sign.

Since she finished her high school exams, I treated my sister to a movie and mall date today. The southern summer heat was killer, but I didn't want to freeze in those ice cubes that pass for movie theaters. These jeans were calling my name on the American Eagle Memorial Day clearance rack; for $16 who was I to turn them down? I swear the best cure for cabin fever on a tuesday will always be to get out of the sweat pants and go somewhere, anywhere!
